English Teacher Profiles

 Learning English Lindsay

I love to spend time with family and friends. A great evening for me is spent with good food, great conversation and a great bottle of wine.

I am very adventurous and love to try new things. After graduating from university and getting married my husband and I decided to move to South Korea and teach English. It was a great opportunity for us. Since then we have travelled to more than 18 countries. I love meeting new people and sharing my experiences as well as learning from others.

I love taking pictures and scrapbooking. A scrapbook is a great creative way to tell a story and after travelling to so many exciting places my husband and I have some great stories! I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with you!

Sincerely,

Lindsay

 Learning English Margarete

I have been an elementary school teacher for more than 20 years. For the past 6 years I have taught ESL to students in grades 1 to 8. I have found that I become involved with the families of the children I teach, providing interpreters, explaining our Ontario school system and helping them access community supports. I have also mentored other teachers and given many workshops to colleagues.

I most enjoy working with individuals or small groups so that I can plan activities that match their needs. Everyone has a way of learning that best suits them and it's fun and rewarding to teach using methods that match one's style of learning.

I love teaching ESL because it's an opportunity for me to learn about other countries, cultures and languages. I look forward to meeting new and interesting people and sharing some of my expertise with them.

Sincerely,

Margaret

 Learning Englsih Glenna

My teaching experience covers a wide array of subjects, levels and venues. I have taught both children and adults. I have had the pleasure of teaching English overseas, and have traveled extensively. This has given me an understanding of the challenges of traveling and living in a country where the language spoken is not your own. It has also provided me with first hand knowledge of the language skills needed to live, work, or travel abroad.

I have a passion for lifelong learning and strive to impart that on all of my students. I believe learning a new language should be a fun and enriching process. Throughout my teaching experience I have come to realize that every student is different, and therefore I tailor every lesson to meet the needs of each individual student.

I look forward to helping you meet your English language goals!

Regards,

Glenna

Accompanied with the use of Skype and web-based technologies, I will use various tools and programs (such as PPT, YouTube, TeacherTube, Online Journals, etc ) to assist learners in the goals they set for themselves.  Lastly, as your teacher I will help introduce these ‘goal-setting’ formulas in our programs to aid in achieving the maximum during each and every lesson.

I look forward to the opportunity of having you as a student and I will see you online!
